Most people do not realize how important communion sets have become in
today's world. Christian churches use these set of materials to help represent
and at the same time share the love and body of Christ.
Essence of Communion
Sets
Even though it is an important celebration, there are still
some people that are not familiar with how and what the Holy Communion is all
about.
The Holy Communion is representative of when Jesus had his
communion fellowships with his disciples. One famous example of this communion
or gathering would be the Last Supper.
Another name for the Holy
Communion is the Eucharist celebration. This serves as a breaking of bread and
thanksgiving. It represents how Christian believers can now hear, taste, touch,
taste and receive the Lord's grace through Jesus Christ and his
sacrifice.
In a Holy Communion celebration, all the elements stand for
something else. For example, you have the bread and the wine. Here, the bread is
taken to represent the body of Jesus.
When the priest breaks the bread,
this goes on to symbolize the fact that Jesus sacrificed his life to save
humankind, by doing so he cleansed humanity from sin.
As it progressed
before, it saw a partial decline for several years; however, today it has
steadily gained ground and a staple in today's practices.
Most of the
time, the Catholic Church allows children from seven to eight years old to have
their first Communion. As they go into teenage years, they then undergo
Confirmation. For communions, though, it is usually the Parish priest that
recommends that a child is ready for Communion.
However, ultimately, that
decision will come from the parent.
